Project Raincoat

I have recently decided that I am going to try my hand at sewing, I'm not exactly starting small though. I will be trying to make a Raincoat as my first project, which is suitable for this time of year in Britain. I have purchased some red PVC for the more traditional 60s Raincoat look, hopefully if all goes well I will be making some more for sale and if I end up selling them I shall upload them onto the blog to show the full range. So watch this space for up dates on my sewing project!

Quant's design transformed the traditional raincoat into a fun fashion item. Its references to children's clothing are typical of her work, which promoted a youthful, carefree look. She was the first fashion designer to experiment with PVC. It took almost two years to overcome the technical problems of mass-producing garments made from PVC.

Very cute colours, with matching hats (might give that a go too)

If its raining but sunny, match some sunglasses with it

Gorgeous see through coat, definitely going to try that

Hope you all enjoyed some great pictures of raincoats, while your waiting for mine to become available make sure you keep yourself dry in the mean time!
